Below is a list of private polytechnic that has been approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), and their location.
What is NBTE
The National Board for Technical Education is a principal organ of the Federal Ministry of Education specifically created to handle all aspects of Technical and Vocational Education falling outside University Education. It supervises and regulates educational programmes offered by technical institutions at secondary, polytechnic and monotechnic levels through an accreditation process.
It was established by Act No. 9 of 11th January 1977.
As of 2021, there are 65 accredited private polytechnics in Nigeria according to the NBTE, these polytechnics have been approved to run both ND and HND programs. We have listed these polytechnics in alphabetical order.
